Save Doonies Farm Campaign Seeks Your Ideas
The recently formed Friends of Doonies are calling on all those interested in saving the farm to get their thinking caps on for funders! All ideas are welcome of businesses, people or any other source of funding which may be able to help.
The campaign was started as the City Council announced it was looking to close the farm, at the village of Cove just outside Aberdeen, as part of its savings plan. Doonies Farm is the only remaining significant collection of native breeds on an 'Open Farm' in Scotland. It works with the RBST to preserve many rare breeds such as the Gloucester and White Park cattle.
Friends Chairman, John Sleigh, urges any one with sponsorship or funding ideas to contact him at savedoonies@google.mail.com or call on 07921863682.
