Robert Terry - Statement

Following re-organisation and restructuring of RBST’s staffing, the duties of Company Secretary have been reallocated within the management of the Trust. The outgoing Company Secretary left the organisation on 31 January 2008 by mutual arrangement. Robert held this position for almost 20 years and between 2003 and 2007 undertook a combined role of Company Secretary and Executive Director - paving the way for the current round of modernisation heralded by the publication of the RBST strategic document - “The Way Forward”.

Commenting on Robert Terry’s long service, RBST Chairman Peter Titley said:

“RBST owes a debt of gratitude to Robert Terry who has demonstrated considerable loyalty to RBST over his years of valuable service. Most particularly, he provided a steady pair of hands to hold the Trust together administratively during the period of consolidation leading to the appointment of Richard Clarke as Chief Executive in January 2007.

RBST will formally mark Robert Terry’s departure at an event in his honour on the eve of the RBST Annual General Meeting to be held at the Weald and Downland Museum in West Sussex in July 2008. Meantime Peter Titley added:

“RBST is building its future on solid foundations and I believe that I speak for all members and Trustees in expressing warm appreciation for the reliable and balanced way in which Robert Terry has gone about his duties on our behalf.”
